Find Players Like You: Your Mythic+ Parse Against Ranked Players of Your Spec
The run comparison answers "why was their key faster". This answers the question a single player asks first: how do I stack up against other people playing my spec, at my key level, on my gear, and what do they press that I do not.
Start from a run, or from a character
Paste a Warcraft Logs run link and pick yourself in the roster. Or paste a character link (warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/realm/name), or type Name-Realm and choose the region; the page then lists your best run per dungeon this season and you pick one. Peers are always found around one of your own runs, because that is where your key level, gear and damage come from.
Where the peers come from
The Warcraft Logs rankings for your spec across your key level and one level either side (two either side on request, capped on the server because the hourly API budget is shared by everyone). That pool is the site's top parses, which matters for reading it: the ranked pool skews fast. At equal gear, "closest to me" still tends to show players with 30% to 50% more damage, because ranked runs are the ones that went well. A depleted run will read a low percentile against it. That is the honest picture of what ranked parses look like, not a bug, and the page says so.
The filters
Key level (exactly yours, one or two either side), gear (within 3, 6 or 10 item levels), their damage against yours, timed or barely timed, and the sort (closest to you, highest damage, closest gear). Every value carries a live count with the other rows held as they are, so a dead-end combination is visible before you click it. Quick picks only set those rows, so what a preset means is never a mystery.
Your standing
The percentile of your Warcraft Logs DPS in the ranked pool, at your own key level when it has twenty or more rows. Measured the same way on both sides (whole-run denominator), so at least the comparison is fair even though the number itself is deflated by a slow run.
What the closest peers press
The eight closest peer runs are fetched and their per-spell casts a minute are pooled into a median. Your rate against that median, per ability, with how many of the eight use it at all. Two Arcane Mages casting 42.5 and 41.7 a minute are not interesting; one using Arcane Orb 42 times and the other 24 is. Mitigated share and avoidable damage a minute against the same peers sit next to it.
The one-on-one matchup
Click a peer to open the matchup. Every rate divides by each player's own active time, so a slower key is not held against anyone. The verdict table: damage per active second, damage per trash point, the Warcraft Logs DPS for reference, share of the group's damage, casts a minute, kicks (crowd control counted separately), deaths and damage taken a minute, then the care rows: kicks a minute, dispels pressed against applications of the types your class removes that nobody dispelled, and must-stop casts landed against the ones you stopped.
Below it, the layers that used to exist only in the group comparison:
- What hit you, and what you did about it. Mitigated share, avoidable damage a minute and share (Archon's per-dungeon list), damage from interruptible casts, and self-healing as a share of damage taken. Then the biggest avoidable hits for each side, with spell tooltips.
- The big buttons. Every tracked cooldown: presses against what the run's length allowed on the base cooldown, how long it sat ready unpressed, and for burst where the presses fell (boss, big pull, small pull, a pull that ended within ten seconds). Kicks and stops are priced above, not here.
- Every death, and what was ready. Time and pull, the killing hit and who cast it, one hit or burst or sustained, the defensives that were off cooldown, the externals other players had ready, and the death's cost in your damage.
- Healing, against the damage that came in. When either player is the run's healer: healing a minute, overheal, and the share to tank, DPS and self, each against that role's share of the damage taken. Top healing spells with share, overheal and cast count.
The How to improve list above these sections is built from the same numbers: less damage per active second and which buttons explain it, fewer casts a minute, lower uptime, deaths with a defensive ready, avoidable damage, mitigated share at the same spec, big cooldowns left on the shelf, dispels you could have pressed, must-stop casts that landed, and overheal for healers. Each item names the figure it came from.
This run against your season
When the character is known, the matchup also shows your kicks and dispels a minute in this run against your season average, read from your own logged runs and cached a day. A link opens the full season profile.
Sharing
A matchup has its own link (the pair link plus ?me=&vs=) with a card that names both players and the headline gap, and a PDF with a cover page. Nothing requires an account.

Why do the closest peers all do more damage than me?
The pool is the Warcraft Logs rankings, which are the top parses. Runs that went badly are not ranked, so at equal gear the pool is faster than an average player. The percentile is honest about that; read the cast profile for what to change rather than the gap itself.
Does the matchup need two players of the same spec?
No. Different specs are compared on damage, uptime, kicks, deaths and defence, and the page says to read the cast list as background rather than a target. Same-spec pairs additionally get the per-spell cast comparison and the mitigation finding.
Where do the avoidable damage lists come from?
Archon publishes per-dungeon lists of avoidable and interruptible spells, and Method's ability tracker flags every enemy ability as avoidable, interruptible, a frontal or a buff. Keystone Delta stores both per season and matches hits on spell id or name. Dungeons without either list only show the mitigated share.
